Building More Than Homes: Arco’s Collaborative Approach to Modern Living
By Isabella Libreros, PR & Communications Assistant at Arco Design + Build

At Arco, every project begins the same way: not with a blueprint, but with a conversation.
Before a line is drawn or a material is selected, there’s a shared question at the center of the process – how will this space be lived in, and who needs to be part of bringing it to life?
Because for Arco, building isn’t a solitary act. It’s inherently collaborative. It’s a dialogue between vision and expertise, between design and execution, between the many hands and minds that shape a space into something meaningful.
A home, in this sense, is not just architecture –it’s an ecosystem. It reflects not only the people who will live inside it, but also the collective intelligence of those who helped create it.
This philosophy came to life in one of Arco’s recent residential projects in Wellesley, Massachusetts. While the home itself is a reflection of thoughtful design and craftsmanship, what truly defines it is the network of collaborators behind it– each bringing their own perspective, their own discipline, and their own sensitivity to the process.
Inside the home, every space was designed with intention: a kitchen that invites gathering, rooms that balance openness with intimacy, moments of light and texture that shift throughout the day. But none of these decisions happened in isolation. They were shaped through an ongoing exchange of ideas, where each collaborator contributed to the final vision.
In a market that can often feel transactional, working with partners who prioritize people and experience makes all the difference. Antonio Khoury, Founding Member of SERHANT Massachusetts, brought that perspective into the process. His approach centers on understanding not just the property, but the lives that will unfold within it – ensuring that the home resonates on a human level long before it reaches the market.
That same sensitivity carried into the interior experience through Christa Keil, founder of Staging Spaces. Her work goes beyond aesthetics; it translates architecture into emotion. Through her lens, each room becomes legible, intuitive– something you don’t just see, but feel.
Art, too, became part of the conversation. Isabel Arguello, senior director of Pellas Gallery, approached the space with a curatorial mindset– selecting pieces that didn’t compete with the architecture, but rather completed it. Her work introduced another layer of storytelling, one that connects space, form, and meaning.
And finally, photographer Michael Blanchard captured moments of this project in its entirety. His work doesn’t simply document a finished home; it interprets it. Through light, composition, and detail, he translates the experience of the space into something that can be felt even through an image.
What connects all of these collaborators is not just talent, but alignment. A shared understanding that the best outcomes don’t come from control, but from trust.
Luis DiazGranados, Founder, CEO of Arco, puts it best:
“Our goal is to keep growing this ecosystem. Every collaboration, every idea, every person adds something to the story. We’re not just building houses - we’re creating spaces that matter. And that always takes a village.”
At Arco, collaboration isn’t about adding more voices for the sake of it –it’s about bringing the right people into the process and creating an environment where each perspective strengthens the whole.
“We don’t build just to build,” says, Carolina Trujillo de DiazGranados, Founder, Chief Development Officer of Arco. “We listen. We want to understand how people live and what makes them feel grounded, inspired, connected. True innovation happens when you take someone’s story and turn it into space.”
That mindset continues to shape every project Arco takes on. Whether working alongside architects, designers, developers, or creative partners, the goal remains the same: to build spaces that are not only well-crafted, but deeply considered.
Because in the end, the most meaningful work is never created alone. It’s built through collaboration –through shared vision, mutual respect, and a commitment to something greater than any one perspective.
And at Arco, that door is always open.
